INSPIRATIONAL PHOTO OF THE DAY

FEC Editor’s notes: Most people keep their landscapes in color. Mark Maio sees things a little differently by turning most of his landscapes black and white. A great black and white image is marked by the amount of contrast in the image. We are enamored with the perfect symmetry in this landscape. Complimented by zero-wind allowing for a perfect mirrored reflection. But Mark doesn’t stop there. Positioning himself at an angle where the perfect reflection is interrupted by the texture of the tall grass and reeds, makes this a complicated and amazing landscape.
