INSPIRATIONAL PHOTO OF THE DAY

FEC Editor’s Notes: Underwater photography like all ‘categories’ of photography, is a whole different kind of beast with an extra magical flare. For this maternity image, it was important to show off mom’s belly, and to create a beautiful romantic image. Photographing people underwater adds elements of complications. While this pose may be easy above water, it’s a little different under water. Mike says, “while photographing the clients, you’re trying to coach them to look at peace and beautiful, all while not having awkward air bubbles and strained faces. Then you’re battling the weight of the fabric and the timing of both you and your subject coming up for air.” This image is not photoshopped. The only editing involved is some color correction and vibrance. This image was taken with underwater housing and all available light. Dress by Sew Trendy Fashion & Accessories.
