Photographer’s Notes: I love to travel in the Owens Valley. This is off Highway 190 near Olancha California looking north across Owens Dry Lake and Lone Pine California and the Sierras.
FEC Editor’s Notes: We love the harsh lighting in this image! It creates amazing shadows and texture to the dunes. Contrast that with the natural textures of the Sierras in the background and of course the stark color contrast and you have an amazing dynamic image!
