Photographer’s Notes: This is from my Venice vacation a dusk shot in one of the many canals of Venice
FEC Editor’s Notes: I know this is a digital photograph, but Reggie’s choices during post processing make me feel like we’ve gone back in time. Sometimes in order to evoke a certain emotion, you need to be very specific in how you edit your images. By reducing the coloration on a scene like this one in Venice, you almost get the feeling it’s a cyanotype or tintype from way back when. This is an artistic choice for the win.
