The Intentional Headshot in Havana CUBA

This is a cultural experience of Havana, Cuba with an after breakfast hour daily as Lori Patrick teaches standard headshot practice. After the sit down portion, it's off to explore Cuba. You want to bring along your camera since we will practice shooting headhots with each other and Cuban models as we visit the culture. We will find excellent backgrounds and lighting scenarios for these images. You can fill your portfolio or simply practice your skillset with the lessons learned as Lori coaches you through your shot. During this weeklond adventure your guides will lead you to amazing restaurants and wonderful places to see. At night, it's off to a music venue.

All lodging in single occupancy casa's, breakfasts, transportation within Cuba and entry fees, other surprises are included with the guides fee, paid separately to Urszula of Amber Connection. Flight and Visa are separate. Advice is given for flight. Your guides Urszula and Mike have the heartbeat and pulse of  the best of Cuban culture and will take you to see it in taxi cars from the 50's. You will enjoy a bus trip to Viñales where you will see a rum distillery and cigar production. Much more included on that trip. We will visit Hemmingways home as well. 

These days everyone can use a headshot. It is a way to become known in your community and can lead to more substantial work as you build a client base and receive referrals from your service and the presence of your work on their social media. 

We will talk about the important consultation for intention that leads to what to wear, hair & make-up, which background settings to use and then move to delivery intentions with suggestions on how to price the headshot session. We will explore how to market for headshots, along with portfolio presence.

Next we get technical as Lori shares her camera settings for different scenarios. She will also discuss various posing and expression techniques based on intention in a live demonstration. Other topics will include lighting setups (studio and on location kits and background choices that need to be made for clients best representation.  Finally, we discuss the editing process for selection, retouch and delivery methods via a slideshow of examples. 

This class will give you the experience of hands-on shooting with other students where you will be in front and behind the camera practicing posing, expression, cropping in camera and more, you will be ready to go home and start building this viable segment to your studio brand.
